Waltham – Mrs. Marie T. (Passerello) Norton, of Waltham, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 68.
Marie was born in Waltham on April 16, 1943, a daughter of the late Salvatore J. and Mary (Scandale) Passerello, and had been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Waltham High School and until her retirement worked for Digital Equipment Corporation in Boston. Marie loved her family above all else and cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and traveling.
The wife of the late Thomas F. Norton, she leaves her children, Thomas F. Norton and his wife, Lisa, of North Reading and Kelly A. Thoms and her husband, Dana, of Billerica; her grandchildren, Kristina M. Norton and Ian W. Thoms; her great-grandchildren, Gia Norton and Jordan Pierre; her sister, Janice D. DeLosa and her husband, George, of Watertown and many nieces nephews.
Marie was also a sister of the late John S. Passerello and Robert J. Passerello.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marie's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, December 13th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Wednesday morning when her funeral service will be held. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
