Cambridge – Mr. William F. Edmunds, of Cambridge, died Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge. He was 69.

Bill also known as Bootsie (his pet family name) was born and raised in Waltham, a son of the late William and Stina (Anderson) Edmunds, and was a graduate of Waltham High School.

Being an adventurous free spirited person, in his early twenties he thumbed to California on an exciting 3000 mile journey where he met his future wife and settled in California for over 30 years where he became a realtor for Century 21. He loved his two Dobermans, Dillan and Starr, designed his own home in 29 Palms California and enjoyed numerous travels to Mexico, Arizona, Nevada as well as other parts of the United States.

After suffering a debilitating stroke he returned home to Waltham 11 years ago and was under the loving care of his sister Christine Hughes.

He leaves his wife, Mabel (Artiaga) Edmunds; his sisters and brothers, Christine Hughes of Stoneham, Sharon Carlino of Pembroke, Edward Edmunds (Doris) of Groveland and John Edmunds (Heidi) of Londonderry, New Hampshire and several nieces, nephews and their families.

Bill was also a brother-in-law of the late David Hughes and Paul Carlino.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bill's life by gathering for graveside services at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4th in Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham.
