Newton – Mr. Robert J. Boucher died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Norwood Healthcare. He was 68.

Robert was born on October 30, 1950 in Waltham a son of the late Charles and Ruth Boucher. He was a graduate of Waltham High School and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Bob worked in transportation for both the United States Postal Service and the Department of Public Works for many years before retiring.

An avid sports fan and biking enthusiast Bob also had a deep passion for our country's service men and women.

He leaves his sons, Robert C. Boucher (Evelyn) of Newton and Michael T. Boucher (Rebecca) of Norwood; his grandchildren, Drew and Briella Boucher, Jazmin and Aaron Brito. He was predeceased by his only sister, Ruth Boucher.

Family and friends will honor and remember Robert's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Saturday, December 22nd from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by his funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery.
