Paul L. Bourgeois, 50, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Waltham, died on Saturday, December 23, 2017, as the result of a tragic accident.

He was born February 21, 1967, in Waltham. Paul graduated from Matignon High School in Cambridge and later earned a bachelor's degree from Curry College.

Paul moved to Florida eighteen years ago and worked as a satellite and cable installation expert.

Staying loyal to his New England roots, Paul was an avid and devoted Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins fan. His other interests included fishing, golf, and trivia. He also was a lifelong hockey player.

Paul is survived by his parents, Paul Allen and Donna (Mulcahy) Bourgeois of Hillsboro Beach, Florida, and Tiverton, Rhode Island, formerly of Waltham. Paul was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Heather L. and Vanessa M., and his wife Deborah (Giacobozzi), all of Orlando, Florida. Paul is also survived by his sisters, Karen M. Irons and her husband, Stephen of Bristol, Rhode Island, Lynne A. Carmody and her husband, James of Northborough, and Cheryl M. Dobinski and her husband, Kenneth of Lancaster, New York; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, including William A. McKenzie of Franklin.

Paul selflessly donated his organs so that others might benefit, an act that will bring immeasurable joy to families over this holiday season.

Family and friends will honor and remember Paul's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rt. 20) Waltham, on Friday, January 12, 2018, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning, January 13th in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul's name may be made to New England Donor Services, 60 First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.

Services were also scheduled for family and friends in Florida to mourn Paul's passing. Details are available at http://www.newcomerorlando.com/Obituary/152218/Paul-Bourgeois/Orlando-Florida
