Weston – Mr. Paul J. Desorcy, of Weston, died Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland. He was 75.

Paul was born in Boston on September 11, 1944, the son of the late Joseph Alcid and Mary M. (O'Brien) Desorcy. After high school he served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He founded Action Installations, a window treatment installer for decorators, in 1970. Three years later he co-founded, with his wife Mary, The Window Trimmer of Weston, a window treatment and design firm. He also owned and managed numerous family real estate properties for most of his life.

Those who knew Paul best were aware of his passion for food . . . and he was proud to proclaim it on his license plate. He organized many dining adventures for friends and delighted in encouraging them to try new venues and new recipes. He was thrilled to try a new restaurant himself and issue his personal rating on the experience. Not as well-known were his interests in tennis, music and magic, which he dabbled in from time to time.

Paul leaves his wife of forty-six years, Mary L. (Cullen) Desorcy; his daughter, Kimberly J. Poulin-Gilman of Brooklyn, Connecticut; his grandchildren, Marissa Poulin and Grace Gilman and his sisters and brothers-in-law, Michael J. Cullen, Jr. (Kathy) of Manchester, New Hampshire, Kathleen Hunt (Frank) of Norristown, Pennsylvania and Elizabeth 'Betsy' Cullen of Watertown.

Family and friends will honor and remember Paul's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, November 26th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Julia's Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at a 10 a.m. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Weston.

Memorial donations may be made to Parmenter VNA & Hospice, 10 Green Way, Wayland, MA 01778 where Paul's family was most grateful that the care he received was exemplary.
