Waltham – Mrs. Louise M. (Giminarda) DeMeo, of Waltham, died Monday, June 19, 2017 in Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. She was 92.

Louise was born on February 21, 1925, the eldest daughter of the late Louis and Josephine (Grassi) Giminarda.

Louise was a graduate of Waltham High School. She attended classes for her interest in journalism and was involved in the Civil Air Patrol. An avid gardener, she loved tending to her flowers and vegetable garden. During her children's early school years, Louise was devoted to the Sisters at St. Domenic's School, Belmont and Rosary Academy, Watertown.

The loving wife of the late Louis F. DeMeo who died in 1993, Louise was predeceased by her beloved brother, Vincent Giminarda and her sisters, Roseanne Walsh and Virginia (O'Connell) Keyes.

Louise is survived by her children, Louis DeMeo and his wife, Patricia, of Burlington, Joanne Cournoyer and her husband, Gerald, of Hudson and Teresa "Tina" Brennan and her husband, Robert, of Waltham; her grandchildren, Danielle DeMeo, Vanessa DeMeo, Philip DeMeo and his wife, Amanda, Clare Maver and her husband, Brian, Gerald Cournoyer III, Mary Cournoyer, Jennifer Nathanson and her husband, Neal, Patrick Brennan, Nicholas Brennan and Timothy Brennan and his fiancée, Cassandra Lombardi; her great-grandchildren, Brooke and Brady DeMeo and Henry and Hannah Maver; her sister, Joanne Parker, of Florida and many nieces and nephews.

Not enough can be said about our Mother's kindness, love and generous heart to many throughout her life.

Family and friends will honor and remember Louise's life by gathering for visitation from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
