At almost 94 years old Lillian Chalmers remained as she had lived her life…independent and strong-willed. Lillian died on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. She was 93.

Lillian A. Monsour was born March 18, 1927 in Boston a daughter of Lebanese immigrants George and Rahmy (Hatem) Monsour. Raised and educated in Boston she excelled in her schooling. She married Hazen A. 'Al' Chalmers on September 7, 1947 and they have made Watertown their home for over fifty years.

Lillian worked in banking for over twenty-five years beginning with BayBank in Watertown, Newton and Everett before enjoying retirement in 1993.

She made her a house a home and shopping was perhaps her most favorite pastime. Gifts for her grandkids carefully thought, planned and wrapped well in advance of the holiday and were in abundance. She was the best Nana.

In addition to her husband, Al she is predeceased by her siblings, Jimmy and Samuel Monsour, Theresa Barrett, Delia Docar, Frances Monsour and Julia Cardoos.

She leaves her children, David A. Chalmers (Marie) and Joyce A. Chalmers all of Watertown; her grandchildren, Lisa Landolfi (Mark), Lindsay Burns (Kevin), Lauren DiStefano (Bob), Jennifer LeBlanc (late David), Kristin Boschetto (Anthony Dixon), Amanda Boschetto; her great-grandchildren, Lia & Sofia, Hanna, Ella and K.J., Lucca, Ryan, Alex, Cole, Riley, Mattisyn and Dakota; many nieces & nephews.
