Waltham – Mrs. Josephine T. (Lewis) Wilson, of Waltham, died on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 70.

Josephine was born in Dublin, Ireland on October 9, 1946, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Phillips) Lewis. She was raised and educated in Ireland and came to the U.S. as a young woman to work as a nanny.

She had a special affinity with children and formed strong bonds with the children and families whom she worked for. She was a wonderful mother and a favorite 'Aunt Josie' to countless. She loved visiting her homeland and went back to Ireland as often as she could. She was full of life and loved dancing and listening to music of all kinds. She was nurturing in every way and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas B. Wilson of Waltham; her children, James A. Wilson of Waltham, Sharon M. Wilson of Maynard and Sean T. Wilson of Waltham; her grandson, James D. Auditore; her brother, Peter Lewis of Ireland and also leaves many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late James Lewis and Marie O'Dea.

Family and friends will honor and remember Josephine's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday April 30th from 2 to 5 p.m. and will conclude with her funeral service at 5 p.m.
