Waltham – Mr. Joseph W. Griggs, of Waltham, died Friday, February 8, 2019 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 56.

Joe was born in Waltham on August 26, 1962, a son of the late Joseph "Irv" and Shirley M. (Lirette) Griggs, and had been a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Waltham High.

He was the proprietor of Joe Griggs Window Washing Service. Joe was an avid fisherman and when the snow flew he enjoyed snowmobiling.

He leaves his wife, Arlene (Salvador) Griggs; his sisters and brother, Shirley A. Coppi (Thomas) of Leominster, Carol Krampits (Fred) of California, Robert Griggs of Millis, Doris Diesi (Michael) of Hudson, Jeanne Porter (Steve) of Waltham, Patricia Bourque (Roger) of Hudson, New Hampshire and Elizabeth Lirette of Leominster and many aunts, uncles and cousins including Doris Carmel, Robert Griggs and Ralph Griggs.

Family will honor and remember Joe's life by gathering for private graveside services on Friday, February 15th at 1 p.m. in Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham.
