Waltham – Mrs. Joanne M. (Russo) Monagle, of Waltham, died Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at her home. She was 76.

Joanne was born in Boston on June 11, 1944 to the late Joseph and Marcelle (Moreau) Russo. She was raised in Revere and Everett and moved to Waltham in 1974.

Until her retirement she worked as a cook in the cafeteria at Waltham High School and before that worked for years alongside her husband, Chuck, at their family business, Tony's Spa at the corner of Lexington and School Streets in Waltham

In addition to her husband, Charles M. Monagle, Jr., she leaves her children, Christopher S. Vaccaro of Waltham, and Marissa M. Vaccaro of North Berwick, Maine; her grandchildren, Jessica Monagle and C.J. Vaccaro; her siblings, Joseph Russo of Boston, Charles Russo of Maine, Robert Russo of Medford, Richard Russo of Saugus, and Michelle DePersio of Tewsbury; she also leaves many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Joanne was also the sister of the late Mary Gigante.

Funeral services for Joanne are private.
