Ms. Janice M. Long, of Waltham, died on Tuesday, July 24th, 2018. She was 64.

Janice was born in Waltham on October 2, 1953, the daughter of the late Lloyd L. and Alice A. (Christie) Long. She graduated from Waltham High School and had worked at Waltham Hospital for many years.

Janice was selfless by nature and was a wonderful friend who could always be counted on for support. She worked hard to provide for her son and was fiercely independent. She remained a kid at heart and always looked forward to her trips down to Houston to spend time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Justin Brown (Audrey) of Houston, Texas, her grandchildren, Jack, John and Genevieve Brown; her siblings, Judith Long of Waltham, Robert Long (Sharron) of Hawaii, William Long (Debbie) of Florida and also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Janice's life by gathering on Tuesday, August 7th, at 10 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte.20), Waltham where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
