Waltham – Georgina Marie (Caissie) Hebert, of Waltham, died on April 22, 2020, at Meadow Green Nursing Home. She was 94 years old.

Georgina was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, on August 28, 1925, the daughter of Theodore and Georgina (Bourque) Caissie. She grew up in a busy household as the oldest daughter of twelve children. On August 26, 1948, she married Leo J. Hebert in Shediac, New Brunswick. In 1953 they moved to the U.S. with their two young daughters and have been

Waltham residents ever since. The French American Victory Club was central to celebrating their French Acadian heritage and culture. At the Club, Georgina was known for her delicious date squares and love of playing cards. Some of Georgina's happiest memories were spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as visiting with friends and family at her cottage in New Brunswick each summer.

Georgina is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Leo J. Hebert; her daughters, Odette Hampson (Bradford) of Westford, and Bonita Cotrone (late Paul) of Framingham; her grandchildren, Kenneth Hampson, Ashley Turcotte (Douglas), Laura Cotrone, Jessica Cotrone (Richard Herrmann) and William Cotrone; her great-grandchildren, Andrew Tunison, and James and Nathan Herrmann; her siblings, Doris Donelle, Guillaume Caissie, Bernice Caissie, and Leo Paul Caissie, as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families.

She was the sister of the late Yvon Caissie, Albert Caissie, Aurel Caissie, Camile Caissie, Sara Trottier, Antoinette Bourque, and Romeo Caissie.
The family would like to thank the staff at Meadow Green Nursing Home in Waltham for their constant aid and compassion in caring for Georgina.

A celebration of Georgina's life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
