Mr. Donato T. Frisoli, of Waltham, died on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the Dorothy Frances Home in Waltham. He was 95.

Lovingly known to family and friends as 'Dan' he was born on January 7, 1923 in Foggia, Italy a son of the late Michele and Marietta (Frisoli) Frisoli. At the age of seven he immigrated to the United States settling in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. Raised and educated in Roxbury he graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School for Boys. He later graduated from Bryant University with class of 1948. Dan honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II and in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He married Newton native Caterina R. 'Katherine' Nicolazzo on April 12, 1956 in Saint Bernard's Church in West Newton and they made Waltham their home for over fifty years. After 52 years of marriage Katherine died on December 13, 2008.

Dan's professional career began at Raytheon Corporation where he worked for over thirty-two years. He later worked at Motorola for ten years and lastly as a component engineer and buyer for Panametrics Corporation before enjoying retirement in 2005.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, the Century Club at Raytheon and the Don Bosco Newton Council # 7784 Knights of Columbus.

He leaves his children, Daniel M. Frisoli and his fiancé, Kim Doan of Quincy, Donna M. Frisoli of Waltham, Cheryl A. Bibault and her husband, Jacques, of Holliston, and Judith A. Bater and her husband, David, of Sutton; his grandchildren, David and Eric Bater; his siblings, Michael J. 'Julio' Frisoli and his wife, Mary of Stoughton, Attilio 'Mike' Frisoli and his wife Jean of Easton, Philomena 'Phyllis' Angelini and her husband, Anthony of Dedham, Lena 'Lee' Frisoli of Dedham and Maria DiPietro and her husband, Carmen of Vancouver, Washington; his sisters-in-law, Rose Nicolazzo and her late husband, Patrick of Peabody and Rose Shapiro and her late husband, Sid of Newton; also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Dan's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, February 5th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
