Ashland - David Borr would fix pretty much anything with a motor...or anything for that matter. Always up for a challenge and willing to help family, friends or neighbors once he set his mind and hands to the project it would be completed.
David A. Borr was born on July 19, 1959 in Bath, Maine a son of the late Howard and Byla (Riseberg) Borr. Raised in Newton he graduated from Newton North High School and attended Mount Ida College.
He worked on various levels, including part-owner, of his family's business, Borr Auto Parts in Chelsea.
Dave loved all things motor related, a ride on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, junk food and above all his family. He married Waltham native Laurie A. Nutile on June 1, 2013 and they lived a short while in Natick before making Ashland their home.
Dave died unexpectedly on Wednesday. January 19, 2022. He was 62.
He leaves his wife of eight years, Laurie A. (Nutile) Borr. Father of Michael Borr (Erin Maurer) of Worcester, Amy Bean (Nick) of Danvers and Eric Borr (Jenna) of Methuen; grandfather of Jordan and Nickolas; his sister, Nancy Borr of Chelmsford; brother-in-law of Bonnie Keefe (Edward) of Marlborough and Charlene Maron of Framingham; son-in-law of Joseph Nutile (Sheryl) of Waltham and the late Barbara A. Raguso;
Family and friends will honor and remember David's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, January 27th from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by his funeral service at 7 p.m.
Memorials in his name may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital in Boston, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
