Sudbury - Mr. Clinton T. 'Buddy' Beaudette, of Sudbury, formerly of Waltham, died Friday, January 5, 2018 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after an illness. He was 75.

Clinton Thomas Beaudette, affectionately known to family and friends as 'Buddy' was born February 19, 1942 in Waltham a son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Clinton) Beaudette. Raised and educated in Waltham he was a 1961 graduate of Waltham High School. He served in the US Air Force Reserves from 1963-1969. In 1965 he married Patricia A. Powers and they made their home in Sudbury.

Buddy worked for Furman Lumber in Waltham for more than 40 years starting part time in high school. With dedication and hard work, he was promoted to vice president and operations manager for multiple warehouses. Just before his retirement, Furman Lumber was acquired by Boise-Cascade Company.

Retirement in 2000 afforded Buddy more time on the Cape at their home in Falmouth. Captain of the Bonito Bud, he was happiest on his boat, fishing offshore. Winter meant getting ready for another fishing season by cleaning reels, making jigs, repairing rods, and starting seeds indoors for a bountiful spring garden. He was often torn between the love of his garden and the call of the ocean.

In heaven Buddy now joins his daughter, Karen A. Beaudette who died in 1988.

In addition to his wife of 52 years, Patricia he leaves his daughters, Deborah B. Richard and her husband, James of Arlington and Susan B. Caldwell and her husband, Daniel of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Delaney, Ella, Kelsey, and Petra Caldwell, and Henry Richard; his siblings, Robert Beaudette of Waltham, Mary Marchant of Watertown and Elizabeth Cheever and her husband, Jack of La Jolla, CA; also survived by nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Buddy's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rt. 20), Waltham on Sunday, January 14 from 2 to 5 pm, followed by his funeral service at 5 pm. Burial is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Brain Tumor Fund at Brigham and Women's Hospital. ( or Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen's Alliance (
