Mrs. Carmen B. (Cullati) O'Kane, of Venice, Florida and Waltham died April 13, 2020. She was 95 years old.

Carmen was born in Boston on January 12, 1925, the daughter of Gino and Diana (Merletti) Cullati. She was raised and educated in Dorchester and it was there she met John E. O'Kane. After his return home from World War II they wed on October 14, 1949 at Our Lady of the Presentation Church in Brighton. The pair moved to Quincy briefly before settling in Waltham where they would raise their three boys. Carmen was a wonderful and caring wife and mother, her life truly revolved around her family. After her children were grown she decided to go back to work as an administrative assistant in the Waltham public school's guidance department, a job she enjoyed and maintained for twenty years. In their later years Carmen and John enjoyed travelling; they spent their winters in Florida and one of their favorite destinations was Hawaii.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, John E. O'Kane and is survived by her sons, John A. O'Kane of Venice, Florida, Stephen M. O'Kane and his wife, Cheryl, of Venice, Florida and William B. O'Kane and his wife, Donna, of Jacksonville, Florida; her grandchildren, Kristen Lindahl and her husband, Pietr, and Laura Khoury and her husband, David; her great-grandchildren, Adam and Erik Lindahl and Nolan and Lila Khoury.

Funeral services and burial in The Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne are private as a result of the ongoing health crisis in the world and our community.
