Until her retirement Ann Marie worked as a secretary for Dr. Swati Chockaling, a Waltham physician. Before that she worked for twenty-five years as a switchboard operator at Waltham Hospital.

Throughout her life she and her large extended family in Germany spent many happy summers exchanging visits to Europe or to America.

She leaves her children, Ann Marie McLaughlin of Westford, Margaret F. Devine and her husband, John, of Lynn, John L. McLaughlin and James A. McLaughlin and his wife, Kelly, all of Waltham; her grandchildren, Andrew and Kathryn Devine and Jillian and Sean McLaughlin; her sister, Bettina Haussler of Munich, Germany and many nieces and nephews.
