Alice Logan's almost hundred years on earth can be summed up in five words . . . life . . . love . . . faith . . . family . . . friendship.

She was born in Waltham on August 22, 1919, a daughter of the late Daniel E. and Alice G. (Bradley) O'Mara. She grew up with five brothers in a busy household where all the kids worked at one time or another for their Dad who managed the First National Store on Moody Street. She was a lifetime resident and a 1937 graduate of Saint Mary's High School.

Alice was a longtime parishioner of Saint Charles Borromeo Church on Hall Street where she, along with other members of the parish, could best be described as the blood and the bone of the Church. She was always willing, able and eager to help whenever she was called and at various times served on the parish council, bazaar committee, 1000 Club committee and enjoyed years of friendships with the Sodality bowling league.

She later worked for years at the circulation desk at the Waltham Public Library and had been a member of the board of directors of the Waltham Municipal Employees Credit Union.
