Tribute & Message From The Family

Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Dan by adding your memories and photos.

Danny MacDonald adored his family and was happiest when they were gathered together for an occasion or one- on-one time with each of them. He really was the world's best uncle and his nieces & nephews were treated as if they were his own children. Periodically throughout his life he was blessed to live with each of his siblings and their families. He loved it and they loved having him under their roof.

He had a huge heart and was always willing to help others. Danny was a sports fanatic and loved hockey perhaps the most. He had a green thumb and loved spending time in the yard doing work in the company of 'Tucker' the black lab.

Danny died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. He went peacefully while surrounded by his family.

Daniel E. MacDonald was born on February 27, 1970 in Waltham. He was the son of the late Robert P. 'Mac' and Betty J. (Blue) MacDonald. Raised in Waltham he graduated from Waltham High School with the class of 1988.

He leaves his siblings, Deborah A. Catalfamo of Wilmington, Pamela A. Dellanno (Robert) of Billerica and Robert P. MacDonald Jr. (Sharon) of Cotuit; his brother-in-law of Gary Catalfamo of Reading; his nieces & nephews Corey Catalfamo (Rachel), Darren Catalfamo (Kara), Craig Catalfamo (Kerri), Ashley Moulaison (Steve), Marisa Ferguson (Mike), Kelly Arsenault (Ryan), Kara MacDonald, Demi Sperazza (Dan McGuire) and Ellie Sperazza; great nieces & nephews Brayden, Allie & Abbie, Connor, Christian, Jaxson and Rylee; also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Calling hours for Danny will be held in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, July 8th from 4 to 7 p.m. [Those over 60 and those with underlying health conditions are welcome to visit from 4 to 5 p.m. and others from 5 to 7 p.m.].
