Condolence & Memory Journal

Welcome home. It is never too late to come home. It is never too late to receive the honor and the thanks due to you. Your mother missed you all her remaining life, but you were waiting for her when she completed her journey and started her new life.

My Uncle Staff Sergeant Dominic Marrocco was also killed in action in Korea. It took nine months for his remains to be returned to the States, I thought that was a long time. Your return home is so gratifying on many levels, you are back where you belong in the land you gave your life to defend. Thank you for your sacrifice soldier, now rest in peace and know that your community is so appreciative of your service. We'll see you tonight and tomorrow. God Bless.

As the nephew of another Korean soldier, Army Sgt. Christopher Y. Vars, who also had been missing for 65 years, and was returned to his family on September 9th of this year, I know how much this homecoming will mean to your family.
May the upcoming ceremonies comfort you with the knowledge that his service will not be forgotten by a grateful nation.
May he rest in peace..

Please let me offer my heartfelt condolences to all of Bob's loved ones.

For those who do not know me, I was the director of aquatics as well as a swim instructor and lifeguard for many years at the Waltham Boys and Girls Club.

My dear friend Louise always spoke with such love of her beloved Bob.
She held true hoping that he was alive, but realistically knew he was gone.
She told me whether he was alive or dead, she wanted him back in Waltham.
We often chatted about Bob and how David inherited Bob's athletic abilities as well as handsome looks.

Louise loved her family. She took so much pride in all of her kids, grandkids, greatgrands and great greatgrands!

So, to my friend Louise who is in heaven .....I know you are smiling and can now rest peacefully.

God rest Bob, his parents and his sisters.
