Fitchburg—Elizabeth "Beth" Duddy, 67 years old, of Fitchburg, MA (fondly known to her family as "Bethie"), passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, with her family by her side, at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center at Newbridge on the Charles, in Dedham, MA, where she spent the last year of her life.
Beth was born in Waltham, MA on January 1, 1955, the daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Doyle) Duddy. She was a graduate of Waltham High School Class of 1973. Beth worked, until her retirement, as the director of the Human Resource Department for Concord-Carlisle Regional School District, where she made many wonderful friends.
Beth's fondest memories were of spending summers at Green Harbor Beach in Marshfield, MA. She was an avid reader, bowler, and golfer, loved listening to music, she was a loyal follower of Boston College athletics, and tried to make every Opening Day Game of the Boston Red Sox.
Hosting Christmas Eve Dinner and St. Patrick's Day Dinner for her family was an annual ritual for Beth. She loved all the preparations, table settings and decorations involved with each holiday. She especially loved the Christmas Grabs and "who was going to win the football" each year.
Beth leaves behind her siblings, Cheryl (Duddy) Schoenfeld (Richard Schoenfeld), of Dedham, MA, Paula (Duddy) Moore (Steven Moore), of Tamworth, NH and Acton, ME, Paul D. Duddy (Alice Duddy) of Framingham, MA, Mary Nagengast, of Avoca, Iowa, and James H. Duddy, of Stockholm, Sweden. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephew and all her cousins.
Family and friends will honor and remember Beth's life by gathering for calling hours on Monday, June 20th, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham and again at 9 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial is private.

I met Beth when I was asked to fill in at the Concord Public Schools several years ago. As Beth told me later during my employment, she didn't quite trust me!!! We had several laughs over that one believe me.
We became fast friends and we shared many stories, luncheons and laughs. When I left the school system, we remained close friends and had lunch at the 99 in Westford on several Saturday afternoons during the past several years until her

She was the best at what she did for Concord and for the people who were fortunate to have her in their lives.

To Beth's entire family,
I worked with Beth many years ago at Waltham Federal Savings and Loan Bank. I tried to stay in touch over the years but it is hard. I recently was able to reconnect via FB through her sister who looks just like her (to Me) so I reached out and asked if she was related.
Thank you,
My heart goes out to you I know how difficult it is to lose a sibling.
Take care and may the good memories you have help you in the moments ahead.
