Joanie was so proud of her daughters and grandchildren. She was an amazing friend. I am so lucky to have known her and called her my friend.

In an age of constant criticism and the obsession with self growth, the seemingly idealistic concept of unconditional love is one that Joan Ford Horrigan embodied wholeheartedly and we should all take as much of this from her as we can. You can already see it reflected in her 3 beautiful daughters and all of her amazing grandchildren. I can still hear her saying, "You kids are just the best". She made everyone around her feel so good and this really is the key that so many of us are missing. She really got it. She got the heart of life. I wish I could be there with you all today to say this myself, but this song says it all.

Dear Kathie, Christine, Beth and your family,
Joan will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. It is such a shock so soon after losing your Dad a few weeks ago! I felt so close to your mom over the years as next door neighbors. We had more fun together and our families became one. I will never forget her laughter and fun loving personality! I would always seek out Joan's advice and cry on her shoulder for support. I feel blessed to have known her and will cherish her memory forever.
