Dearest Belinda ~
As I have been living out of country for several years and fallen out of any loops...just today, I learned of Henri's passing.
So many feelings all at once...shock, deep sorrow, regret for loosing touch and profound gratitude for the most incredible experience, privilege and honor for having met, served and been influenced by such an individual as Henri.
Both he...and you and each person in your families touched and left a changing elemental mark on my

He...and you simply made me want to be a better person.
Please know and feel that you may call upon me at any time for any need that I may fulfill.

Henri hired me from Pittsburgh to be his assistant...brought me to Boston to associate with all of the Genzyme Compatriots...they were wonderful people..our small org became a huge one with HAT commandeering...thank you Henri, rest in peace! ( It was so nice knowing you)

Belinda and family,
My heart goes out to you. Henri wasn't supposed to die in my mind but to carry on and create more and more solutions for our medical problems. I remember fondly working with him on the Boston Museum of Science corporate project. He was brilliant. And, he has been supportive of my career. You can count on me for support. I am sorry. I did not become aware of Henri's passing until today. I have been on the West coast engaged in other projects outside of biotech ergo did not have my ear to the ground.

I did not know Mr. Termeer personally, but I came to know him through Deborah Daw Heffernan's book "An Arrow Through the Heart". I admired him so much for what I read about him. I am so sorry to hear that he has passed away. After reading many of the comments on this site, I see that he was a hero to many, many people. Even though I never met him, I am proud to have shared the earth during the time that he was here. My prayers for all of you.

Dear Belinda, I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I just wanted you to know I thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. Psalm 147:3 says "He (God) heals the broken hearted and he binds up their wounds " I pray that the "God of all comfort" will help you to endure and bring you a measure of measure of peace.

Commercial Wharf will miss Henri. His service on the Board lead to one of the most aggressive and successful improvement and maintenance projects the Association has ever undertaken. His love of the harbor and his unit were unwavering even after building his beautiful home in Marblehead. I am thankful I was able to run into him in the parking lot shortly before his passing. Rest in peace, Henri.

My husband and I had an annual holiday party, this particular year I had forgotten to bring up and wash wine glasses from the wet bar area in the basement. Henri had just arrived as I was running up and down the stairs trying to correct my oversight. Henri said hello, gave me quick hug, assessed the situation and joined in retrieving the errant wine glasses. Henri then washed them as I dried. Here was this pillar of the community and international business icon just helping out a frazzled hostess, and doing it with charm, wit and grace. We joked that I could provide him an excellent reference if he ever needed a dishwashing job. Henri was a true friend to many, including my husband and me. My husband and Henri were friends for over 40 years, I only had the privilege of knowing him for the past 7. We are shocked and saddened by his very premature passing. Belinda, Adriana, Nicholas and the entire family are in our thoughts and prayers.
