Dear Anthony, I find it hard to believe it's been a year since you went home to be with The Lord. I miss our phone conversations and the fun visits as well. Until we meet again, may you rest in peace, my friend. My condolences to the Sammarco Family and friends.

I was saddened to hear of Tony's death. Although I haven't seen Tony since we were colleagues teaching French in Weston way back in the 70s, I remember good times and his wonderful sense of humor. Indeed, Weston was a very special time for me, and Tony was part of that specialness.

Like many I was so shocked to hear of Tony's passing.

Tony, you will always hold a special place in my heart. Your wit, generosity, encouragement, good common money sense (of which I had none) and intellect are the magnets that drew me to your side time after time. And the best part is I listened to you!

I will always love you for your smile, patience, kind words and loyalty to your dear friends. May God rest your soul. Thank

Lunch with Tony, my friend Jinx Eastmead and myself in Providence June 2016

This is a photo from the last time I saw Tony in June 2016. He looked great and was his warm, funny self.

A picture of Tony, Mr. & Mrs. Sammarco, and Tony with my friend Geri, and her son.

My sincere condolences to the Sammarco Family. I met Tony around April, 1979, in San Antonio, TX, at the annual Fiesta event. He would come down for the event and participated in one of the booths setup at the Night In Old San Antonio event, which is part of Fiesta. The booth he was in sold, I believe Rattlesnake Coolers, or something like that. We became really good friends, exchanged contact numbers, and mailing addresses. I had an opportunity to

I met Tony when we were both studying French in Dijon, France, in 1972. We have been close friends and traveling companions since then, traveling together to Spain, Brazil and Mexico. I will miss him greatly.

Tony taught next door to my classroom in 1968 and I have many fond memories of shared lunches, after school gatherings, and many parties. Tony introduced me to drinking Ward 8s and now I will think of him each time I drink one. He will be missed by his many friends and colleagues, and certainly me.

Tony was a wonderful teacher and supportive friend for many years when we taught together at the High School. We fondly remember backyard barbecues, New Year's brunches and department parties together. We are deeply saddened by his passing. We wish to extend our deepest sympathy to his family.
